Eric is the son of improv director Josephine Forsberg (born Josephine Raciti) and filmmaker Rolf Forsberg (born Albert-Rolf Forsberg). Eric’s father is of Swedish ancestry and Eric’s mother was of Italian/Sicilian descent.

Eric’s paternal grandfather was Albert Fritjov Forsberg (the son of Olaf/Olaff Forsberg and Anna Petri). Albert was born in Sweden.

Eric’s paternal grandmother was Signe Cederberg (the daughter of Alfred Cederberg and Anna Olson). Signe was born in Sweden.

Eric’s maternal grandparents were Carmello Raciti and Maria/Mariam Pusateri (the daughter of Leonardo Pusateri and Maria Iannarino/Annarina). Carmello was from either Catania or Messina, Sicily, Italy. Eric’s grandmother Maria was born in Illinois, to parents from Sicily.
